enough said.
this dude went 3 years with nobody giving a sh*t about his rhymes. Iono how busting your @ss makes you manufactured.

I doubt Drake has a ghost-writer as he admits that he has a repetitive flow...and how the hell you gonna drop dope sh!t when you unknown and then get big and have a mediocre ghostwriter?

i don't believe it simply cause who the hell would need a ghost writer to write drake's songs?

Last name "eva"
First name "greatest"
-yeah real dope...

If Drakes not writing his own rhymes and his concepts and connections are suffering then why do I still believe this guys gonna go 3x's plat. on his debut album? You guys are gonna dissect his LP like crazy.
Who went and supported Little Brothers last album? It was posted up here but that thread went away like a lingering fart. I got the album... I was disappointed... But atleast I showed my respect for real hip hop... Drakes not hip hop...he's rap...

Hip Hop = way of life being expressed thru music

Rap = beats/rhymes/money/commercials/honorable mention by Kat Stacks and a partridge in a pare tree....

free weezy free gucci free boosie
lol i heard that.... but forreal tho he culd b gettin a verse from someone else to put on a track they gotta show me some more evidence on tha real
i mean if we culd see tha name of tha track then you culd actually have a better idea

I don't know if it's true or not. I wouldn't be surprised, though, really.

Where did you find such information? And as for gettin' on and having a ghostwriter, that's sometimes the story of being on a major label from what I hear.

The song Fear
"I could use a writer just to balance out my flows, but..."

Eh

Lol @ people equating ghostwirter to a negative thing. Look at the type artist Drake is. That's like saying R. Kelly ain't sh*t because even though he writes most of his records, he didn't write "i beleive I can Fly". Or saying Foxy Brown was never a dope MC because Jay has written for her.

Even Eminem has had "ghostwriters". I use qutes because people are creditted for what they do. You come up with a catchy chorus and do a track, a more famous rapper likes it, they buy it off you. Even if the change up the verses and keep the chorus, or rap about a similar subject, you become a co-writer.

Then you guys turn it to rap vs. hip hop...SMH, who are you to draw the lines on the difference. The 1st rap/hip hop song ever recorded wasn't written by the performers.

Harsh Reality, life's not what you wish it was.

when an artist is so dope and has so much hype, people wanna believe that the dopeness of the rhymes came from that artist himself. when people find out it wasn't, it takes away from their belief of that artist.

nothing wrong with having a ghostwriter in this day and age, its gonna happen either way. there's mcs and there's performers.

^^^But with most lyricists, ghostwriters aren't called in for the songs you respect them for. They're called in to give the artists hits. And lets quit calling them "ghostwriters", they get creditted. 9/10 if you saying you "ghostwrote" you're more than likely lying. How you you get paid if you're not on papers for your contribuion?

Are we children? Do we lack understanding? It's all about a dollar... I don't care about Drake having a ghostwriter... He better do something cause the pressure is mounting and he keep pushing the album back.

Yeah, this is some B.S I've personally seen Drake one of his songs, he's a pretty legit writer.

I think a lot of people feel BETRAYED because they are doing everything themselves without any relationships, making beats, writing lyrics, rapping, doing videos and uploading on YouTube to get a few views, not understanding that you need a full team to make this 'music thing' work. They see Drake as some kinda idol and then feel like "damn he doesn't even write his own lyrics".

In the music business you can have a person dedicated to every little aspect of the process, be it arrangement, your image, lyrics/songwriting (there can be multiple people involved for one song by one artist), you could even have your own person who's only job is to make sure that you have fresh and cold cola all the time everywhere you go because of your cola addiction, of course you can make the person carry your bags as well. All you have to do is tell the person that you want him to do the job for you and that you're going to pay him generously. Simple.
