Question about production

not any more - moved to getting started

you may want a controller of some sort - keys/pads/sliders and knobs,
maybe a microphone for recording ambient sounds or specific sounds/voices,
an interface to allow the mic to be used effectively,
some semi-pro grade speakers so that you can monitor the sounds you make when making mix decisions

You NEED headphones, computer and mouse/keyboard to navigate. The other stuff's optional.
In my opinion, hardware mixer knobs are awesome.
In my opinion, hardware drumpads are awesome and quick.
In my opinion, pianos are fun[harder than the above, but doable] and quick as well.

Basically spend a lot of time getting used to what you're using with the needed stuff then decide later.
