how much did that mac cost u? i may look into goin mac one day.

here are some updated shots of my own rig. Not pictured are my m audio radium 49 controller, my akai cd3000i, my mpd16, my emu midi interface and my records.

DSCF0425.jpg

The keyboards are the Ensoniq EPS classic, The roland alpha Juno 2, and the roland XP-30.
DSCF0426.jpg

Those racks are the Korg M3R (its not the new m3 its closely related to the original M1) and the Korg Trinity rack.

my cd turntable. I love this thing it makes things mad easy when it comes to sampling cds into the EPS which is my main sampler of choice. I also have a vinyl turntable which I did not include with these pics. Its just a Str8-60 by stanton nothin too extreme.
DSCF0428.jpg

And finally my Compaq laptop running Sonar Home Studio 4 and Reason 4. Plus my Behringer BCF2000. I also have a pair of JVC headphones which I like a lot they were only $20 at Fred Meyers. I had a pair of HS280s by Senniesser but they broke a year ago and its embarassing when they fall apart tho they still work just fine. I have them around somewhere but I mostly just use the JVC's I like both pair equally. And the HD280s are $99 so I can always go for saving money lol.

I like what you're doing with those racks/boards. Those older sound modules have alot of good sounds and are going for cheap on ebay. good way to augment your existing vsts and take some strain off your cpu.

I'm going that route myself. Matrix 1000, roland mks80, asrx, etc.

^^Ya'll really sleepin on the Positive K CASSETTE SINGLE sittin behind that Sidekick...you givin away your age in hip hop years. Somebody under 18 tell me what song Positive K is most famous for. Hint: uses a really popular sample from a 70's female group.

Whats ya man gotta do with me!

i prefer the hardware to be honest. i dont use many vsts and i rarely open reason now. hardware is all right in front of u its too easy to make beats on hardware vs software where u gotta wait for stuff to load and hopefully not be buggy. dont get me wrong software is great i just prefer hardware

How much does the desk cost?

Just built my booth but there is no light (no flash on the camera phone) so that's why there's no inside shots. Soon as my artists cuts the check for the 5 beats he is staking his claim on, I'll have PT and then I can start working on my mixtape...

im about to upgrad my midi controller, i owned the mpk 49 a while ago, but got rid of it, im trying to decide wheiter to get an mpk 49 or an axiom 61....

I cant put pictures in my posts yet, so my images are attached.

dont really have much yet, working on getting a midi controller and new studio monitors at the moment.

After moving over christmas i treated myself to a new setup:

mac pro: 3.2 octo core 16gb 4tb storage
m audio projectmix IO
m audio axiom 61
alesis m1 active mk2
logic 8/pro tools m-powered
akg 414 (not pictured)
SE reflexion Filter (not pictured)

few other little odds n ends.

pretty happy with it so far, just need to sort out the placement of it all properly. (picture is prior to sorting out monitor positioning too)
