And I love the mixer, great for scratching and even crazier with the effects!! Definately recommend!

Out of all the equipment you see, the best thing I ever bought was that Rubbermaid folding cart from Home Depot for $50...makes transporting stuff SO much easier.

How do you like those Mackie speakers^
Do you use an amp with them?
and a sub?

Those Mackies rock. They have a built-in amp & crossover, so no external amplification is needed.

I've done shows w/ just one monitor (art shows & small parties), two monitors (weekly residence on rooftop patio) and two monitors + the active sub (big rooms).

My first setup, 2 months old:
Stanton STR8-100 turntables
Stanton SMX-401 mixer
Stanton Final Scratch 1.5 (running on Windoze XP)
Stanton 505 SKII carts
Technics RPDJ1210 headphones
Alesis M1 Active monitors

To do:
1) Install speaker wall mount to raise speakers to ear level
2) Install TV wall bracket in between speakers for 3rd PC monitor dedicated to running the Final Scratch software

That's awesome. I was considering getting those. I was also considering buying a sub with them, but then I would need an external amp, or would I?
I would be doing jam packed frat house parties with about 300 people in a small 40x30ft Room but it gets loud. So I'm still looking. It's either the mackies for a lot of money, or the B-52 matrix system for now. Nice set up in any case.

This Be my setup :D
I didn't have a table for it at the time I made the picture. Now I use the quicklok 550 as a DJ stand.

Mixer: Stanton SK-2F
CD Turntables: 2x Pioneer CDJ-1000
Headphone: Technics RP DJ-1210

not on the pic:
Keyboard stand: Quicklok 550

You would not need external amplification for the monitors or the sub. That system would be perfect for your considerations.
