looks like a fun set up man... how dose the numark mixer feel.. and did they Xfader feel??? im thinking of getting that Xfader and put it in my DXM06 mixer

actually i've been pretty impressed with the mixer! It's the first digital crossfader I've used and it was pretty damn smooth thats for sure. There's no friction there that I noticed...the only problem with the fader was that sometimes when I flicked the fader closed it 'bounced' back open - I expect you would get used to this... maybe. Other than that the mixer in general seemed pretty sturdy - the knobs had a nice solid feel to them and it fealt like it could take some abuse.

how a bout the stanton mixer x-faders? they look ****ty to me the x fade plastic or in stantons case rubber slider looks like it would be hard to crab scratch n other things its shaped funny not regular like a vestax mixer?

or maybe its just me :P

Yes! my Stanton T.80's are adequate.. but I will buy SL1200's when I can afford it... one can cost as much as my whole DJ rig did. The mixer in my picture the M.202 is total garbage. It is good for some things, but crabs, orbitals, etc are next to impossible. I went and bought a Stanton SK FOUR from the pawn shop for $30.- and it blows away the plastic piece of garbage pictured. It feels more like my friends vestax... the crossfader is smooth and "clicks". I dream of a RANE of course or a sweet Vestax... but right now I have what I need to get the job done. The whole setup cost me $500.- new with warranties etc. so I wasn't complaining... my first DJ setup anyway. I have been a standup bass player for 10+ years and had always dreamed of being a turntablist. My turntablist friend helped me to overcome whatever doubts I had that made me think that I could not be one. And now I have a brand new love affair with vinyl. The wax is like crack to me... I drop every spare dollar on records every week. (My wife is ready to kill me!)...
long story short... yeah you would not dig that mixer, but you would find the tables adequate (but you would rather have Technics). :)

I feel you on the vinyl. I will spend my food money on vinyl before buying food. I am also in the processes of learning to play the bass to the upright. I love what the bass do in the music.
