but is it really? It's no secret that the music industry especially hip hop is losing the glamor and wonder that it used to portray. I've heard a lot of people talking about how the era of the super producer is over and for the most part its true. SC producers like Team Hitz have shown that you can make money off of doing what you love without the industry. They have the same tools most aspiring producers have.
They have proven that with a couple hundred bucks you can build a brand, make money, and most importantly make music. I understand your concern, but at the same time, not only are they more relatable in the eyes of aspiring producers, there is no smoke and mirrors. Bedroom producahs and future producers can watch all the moves they make and learn from it. Not to give them too much credit, but they have kind of paved the way for producers to use social networking media and widely available, affordable tools to build a brand. It seems like thats where the industry is headed with artists like soulja boy and lil b gaining fans online and not through standard methods of breaking artists with major labels.
SC producers aren't sitting in million dollar recording studios, they are in apartments with a few workstations and some software just like a lot of us and are making the most of it. It only seems natural for aspiring beat makers to look up to them.
