my second song

Adding in percussive elements like hi-hats, shakers, bells, whatever else, will really help it groove a lot more. I think it sounds pretty good for the 2nd song you've made. One of the more common mistakes that I've heard beginning producers make is that they don't pay attention to the subtleties in their drums and percussions (patterns, instrumentation, and sound quality)

This song get get freaked somethin serious.
For your second song its solid.
Experiment with counter melodies to the saw, dont be afraid to do weird sh!t...
Start adding cymbals, play with some delay in certain areas.
You've got this, youre gonna be making sick music in no time :cheers:

This is actually something I would use for a guitar warm up session :)

@The Funk Junkie
thanks so much for the advice :)
i'll pay attention to the percs more!

@JGrisly
wow thanks so much for the compliment!
it means a lot to me.

i was actually so discouraged with what i made but your words really made my day (well my evening anyways)

Good start man! Like everyone else says, more drum elements. They can give a lot of life to those simple electro beats!

I know its tedious especially if your clicking them all in on a piano roll but it does wonders!

Also look into compression and compress your master track before exporting.
