The software debate is another story. Dedicated computers do a slew of amazing **** that mpcs' or keyboards can't. If that's the direction were going then skip a mp altogether and go mobile( laptop, mbox, headphones ). As far as mpc superiority, if you make a hit record with pots and pans then they become superior!!!!!

deegood said:Thanks for the info. Its real nice to have peaple with experience give input. I wish I had a chance to get on a 3k. Does anyone know if Roger Linn helped design any of the other mpcs before the 3k? Are they going to put out another one this year?
