thats what i was thinking when i saw the thread title. industrial music is the closest you will get to what you are asking. My fav are Acumen Nation, RazedinBlack, and Pitbull Daycare... there are plenty more but those are a great start.

as an ebm/industrial musician this thread is absolutely insulting to the genre. Its sad to see the term "metal techno" used repeatedly.
There isnt much money to be had in the industrial scene so I wont even mention any bands I like because of comments like this

I was making the point that not all the music being discussed on this thread is ebm/industrial. If someone didn't know there really wasn't a genre called "metal techno," I could very well see them calling digital hardcore "metal techno," or describing it as such. Hardcore/metal, digital/techno...not much of logical leap there.
