Link Knob to sustain pedal in Ableton Live

Hey guys,
I have a problem with the sustain pedal in Ableton Live. Here's the deal: I don't own a foot pedal; Back when I used Fl studio, I'd record the track then associate the sustain pedal to a midi controller on my keyboard and add the pedal the second time around.
Now I haven't figured out how to do this in Ableton. So again, to make it clear, I'd like one of the knobs on my midi controller to control CC#64 in Ableton. Anyone know how to do that ? I've been trying to figure it out for a while and no progress.

you simply have to tell ableton to learn midi when you turn a knob - you can assign the controller number at that point - rtfm for more on how to do it. Remember that 0-63 is off and 64-127 is on, so hard left = pedal up, hard right = pedal down.
