I've made almost every one of those mistakes and learned the hard way.

To other noObs like me, the advice is truth.

I'd like to add an addition to the last: Don't forget your roots. Don't forget that if you succeed, you didn't get there alone. Don't be afraid or too selfish to impart your knowledge on someone who needs it.

We were all noObs once upon a time.

WELL SAID!!! lol everything you said is true, especially the midi part, i had to learn that a while back when i was put in a situation where i had to deal with midi...not good...lol
 
Forgive me for i have sinned.. I bought a MPD18 because i thought i needed one quickly... After payment i discovered it was a product on back order.. Meaning i will receive the MPD @ the end of september.... sniff...

Ok ok ... I'm one of the newbies this post was targeted to ... I liked it I found it very informal and motivational ... The parts about reading the manuel , practicing humility and not being so lazy when it comes to reading made the biggest impact on Jordan the Producer

Is there a manual for this site? I can't find the tutorials. It keeps prompting me for creds.
