How do you speed up samples on the mpc 2000 xl,like the heatmakers do and like kanye does, also how do you do so without speeding up the whole seguence, coz its just the vocals i want speeding up

With vinyl, you run your turntable up at a higher speed. 33RPM track at 45RPM speed. This was done back in the day to save sample time. A three second loop could fit into 1.5 seconds. Trust me everyvbody did it. We would then tune down the sample to fit its original speed in the song.
They have done a variation on that.
