Im not 18 and I have a paypal account.
all you need is debit card, which most people have, even 13 year olds can get them.
it takes 5 - 7 business days to transfer money from paypal to your debit card, but its the only way a minor can do it.
I've been doing this method for about a year and it works great. it usually only takes 3 days anyways.
and paypal customer service is awesome.

once you turn 18, you can add on a credit card, then you can transfer money from your credit to your online account instantly. those waiting days suck when you need the money right away, but hey ..it's still pretty damn awesome.

u dont need to be over 18 have a paypal account

YES YOU DO need to be 18 to legally have a Paypal account. What do you think I am just making this all up? Read the Acceptable Use Policy.

This is taken directly from Paypals website just in one part. It says you have to be 18 all over the terms of service almost in every part.

"PayPal permits the use of its services in the sale of certain properly-conforming replica (imitation) guns, paintball guns, blank guns, and "air-soft" guns. These items must display all markings required by law, must not be able to be readily converted to shoot a lethal projectile, and blank ammunition must not be included in the sale. In addition, as no one under the age of 18 is permitted to use the PayPal Service, regardless of the jurisdiction, under no circumstances shall the use of PayPal be permitted by persons under the age of 18 for the purchase or sale of any gun, including replica (imitation) guns, paintball guns, blank guns and "air-soft" guns."

Hey Absurd,
thats interesting to see... maybe it's a new rule or something? My paypal has been working flawlessly (despite the waiting period.), and during sign up, they didn't ask me for my age.
I signed up for the business account by the way, maybe its different for that?
Well, I'm eagerly waiting for my 18th birthday so i can add a credit card. & I don't think it's a mistake that only I got through and created an account. I know 2 others who've set up their business in this way, both actually a year younger then I.
Supaproduca, if anything, it's worth a shot to call up paypal and ask what's up. And if they say it's alright, then they can also help you to step by step add your debit card to your account.
Hopefully it works out, because paypal is how you can set up Buy Now buttons for your songs.. it's basically one of the greatest tools in online businesses. It'd be a shame if there was actually some new rule in effect that wouldn't let you do this! And if there is, HIT THE STREETS! music exsisted before paypal, and I'm sure you could utilize personal business connections to bring in some profit!

They probably are not asking your age when you sign up, since they are expecting that people read the Terms of Service.
