and my Grandma lived in the Shalamar apts. when I was five as well right around the corner from my parents house learned to swim there(I still live around a ten walk from those apts. now lol)

I still have a few Shalamar albums on Vinyl right now

makes me want to go back to sampling just for fun

yes I going to go back to doing some more old school stuff with all the sample libraries I have
drum breaks,and funk horns,ect...
JMD just about everyone in the old school sampled James Brown (the drums and the horns,guitars,bass)
so funk elements would be used a lot
I think a lot of ppl in Europe are already doing this

see P.Diddy did it with 80's songs ripped the whole beat not much of a change up maybe some heavy kicks and stuff but nothing really different
you can do the same with 70's songs if you can get them cleared
that's why I said I still buying sample Libraires
and Chop and arrange in Acid Pro 6.0
you can even throw FL Studio inside of Acid Pro to make quick drums

sold my USB Turntable so my vinyl records are collecting dust
I might have to buy another one
but like a said royalty-free samples are the way to go for me any way.
