That 30K I mentioned wasn't the amount I was going to take out in a loan, it was the amount I already owed. Just stop commenting, you're not making much sense.

Damn, this post is a fail. LMAO.

Oh well. When you ask questions about education to ignorant haters like me, you will get foolish responses.

Just do what's in your heart.

The issues with schools like Full Sail MUSIC PRODUCTION is the “Dream“ that says we teach you how to produce hits that get you signed or paid. Its not true. No one can teach creativity. What they teach is technique on mixing and editing and how to operate various equipment in a top notch environment. Most of that can be learned on your own however, they help shorten the amount of time it takes to learn in the first place. Time is money. You could learn it for free and take 5yrs doing so, or take 2yrs in learning it but also pay for it. Industry jobs, small and big come from talent, a solid body of work, networking and being consistent, last but not least luck ! If your music sucks, youll create very expensive, professional sounding garbage.

On the other hand, the BUISNESS & MARKETING class is absolutely helpful. Yoll learn entertainment law. Youll learn Supply & Demand, Marketing, Promotion and do in depth case studies on why a particular album, artist, movie or entertainment product sells or works and why others do not.

The next part is up to you. Having a network or creating one, using your drive to succeed and financing your pursuit. They will issue you a diploma and a ton of knowledge on how to do it. But they dont finance your company or provide a gauranteed network.

So even with your certificate hanging on your wall, your company doesnt exist until yoh make it happen !

Education wise its GREAT, but you have to put it in motion. Most people dont, and end up mad that they didnt get signed within a year of graduating. Put in the work and it just might work !

Not worried about making it happen, because I know I'll make it happen. All I wanted were opinions of people that went there so I knew if it was worth it. Looking at many different schools and trying to compare them.

Learn how to spell before you insult others. And what fools are you referring to?

lol @ you being self conscious

Another (much cheaper) option for you to consider:

For decades, Gat3 Productions has produced and engineered myriad records for artists and bands of all genres and backgrounds, garnering us numerous Grammy and Dove Awards along the way. Utilizing only the best equipment and teaming up with some of the best, most unique and passionate musicians in the industry, we've been able to consistently create records of which we and our artists are extremely proud.

The cornerstone of our creative process is our team of professional producers and engineers who not only bring their expertise and experience to the table, but - most importantly - the core belief that creating music is a collaborative experience that must be shared and passed on.

It is with this belief that the Gat3 Recording Program has opened its doors, providing students with an in-depth curriculum in music production and engineering taught by Gat3 Productions' finest.

Our smaller class sizes give students more personalized attention, allowing for more individual learning time with our instructors and thus nurturing mentor-mentee relationships, giving students the confidence that comes with knowing that we take a vested interest in their future in the music industry. We have also priced this program much lower than most recording programs out there, making it more "available" to a wider range of students and those who are more concerned about what the are learning than the degree they are "buying".

Furthermore, classes are held not only in a classroom but often in professional, studio environments, allowing students to have hands-on experience with some of the best equipment, top-of-the-line microphones, and latest "gadgets" in the industry. Our unique, 3-day-per-week schedule also gives students the flexibility to work while enrolled in the program, and our low cost of tuition and payment plans make this program far more financially accessible than any other professional engineering programs.

The Fall course is scheduled to begin the end of September and there are only two spots remaining. If you are interested please let our staff know. Reply here or email me directly.

Did the OP get a job yet?

No I haven't. I'm planning on attending UCLA and taking their extension courses. Have already spoken to the artist management teacher (he worked in the industry) and he told that he'll get me an internship after I finish his class in December.

Now I'm just looking at apartments.

Whatever happened to going to Full Sail for the Master's program? You were talking real slick about this program a while back.

I want a program where I have the opportunity to intern for companies. Plus that program is way too expensive.

That's basically what our program is - We have a classroom setting, labs take place in our studios and then our students have the first opportunity for internships at our studio. Are you on the East Coast? Not sure if you are even near NC.

I don't wanna be a producer. Interning at a studio won't do anything for me
