There are a lot better programs to use for music production other than Cubase...Maschine, Pro Tools, etc...

Spoken like a true idiot, i mean newbie.

Look guys there is nothing wrong with Cubase. It was the FIRST main d.a.w. software used by anyone. It sounds amazing. I would say it is the only software that does midi as well as audio and vice versa. ProTools is amazing for editing and mixer routing but doesn't do midi extremely well. Other software that does midi well doesn't handle audio and editing as well. Logic is about the only other D.A.W. that handles midi as well as audio.

But this is important. What software you use has almost zero to do with sound quality. They all use the same basic concept. Quality comes from gain staging, mic placement, analog equipment quality, and over-all recording technique practices. And remember that the better job you do recording the easier mixing is. Learn how to gain stage and buy decent gear. That's 90% of the work right there. Reaper is cool but Cubase is a staple. So get it for free and learn it.

For those having trouble authorizing follow the instructions very carefully. It works.

I installed it ran it everything worked fine the 1st time then every time after that it either just didn't load or gave my computer a blue screen?

What if I don't have a Soft-eLicenser? I can't really use this, right?

I followed all of the directions and everything worked fine and I entered my activation code into eLicense and I now have Cubase LE 6 license listed, so I went to open Cubase 6 and it says "No valid license found. The program will quit now" and my only two options are to click "OK" or "Start License activation". So I started the activation and it takes me to enter the activation code and so I entered the one I received in the email again and it says it is already in use. How do I get Cubase to recognize the license I already have in eLicense??
Thanks,
Jake

You only can use the code once. If it's already in use you need to restore your license. I have a feeling that cracked elicense software can cause this also because it restores all the licenses at once.

Just a little tip: If you're a beginner start with fruity loops...you can create good beats more easily!!

This has nothing to do with this thread. This is Recording software like I said in the OP. But there is no reason you can't use Cubase for making beats.

The trial page in the first post doesn't exist anymore, will the current trial still work?

I was using Cubase Elements 6 that I upgraded from the LE trial for like 50 quid, all was working perfectly. But I had to reinstall it (hard drive dead - RIP) and I can't have the LE license code anymore... I think the trial offer is over, so I can't use the elements 6 upgrade... aaaaaaaah
If anyone know a solution, I'll be happy to thank you! :D
