Once again....
Okay, I'm continuing my search for MY "ideal" studio set up.
Recently I've reconsidered my choice of mixer I wanted to get. Originally I wanted something simple to get my sequencer, keyboard, and drum machine, and one more other goodie I choose [I'm not a turntablist, but like some of those functions too.] All I really need is FOUR channels, but I would like a mixer with some effects.
I once owned a ROLAND SP808 Groovesampler. My favorite part about it was the effects. Which is why I'm interested in the DJ2000; but I've read that the actual product itself is very cheap and the inputs are all RCA . After some use don't RCA inputs become compromised? Or is this wrong information?
I also like the fact that it has a voice transformer on it. The DJ-2000 is selling for around $800 right now, and about &650 used -- not bad?
Next, I like the DJM-600, but I don't know much about how the effects sound. The sampler part is a nice added bonus -- but I don't really need it -- do I? I'll have a sampler on the RS7000 anyway.
But the DJM-600 Mixer itself is VERY expensive -- I guess you get what you pay for -- I hope. Even used it's still very expensive.
Next is the Newmark EM-406 Kaoss Pad DJ mixer. I was originally thinking of getting a KAOSS pad anyway, so if this does all the same things then that would eliminate one extra space in my setup, leaving room for something else in the future -- maybe a vocoder. But is there anything crappy about it? I REALLY like the price tag, just under $600 new!
Also, if anyone has any examples or knows where I can download a DJ performance or an electronica performance using these mixers, please let me know where I can download those -- it would be greatly appreciated.
Lastly, if you have any other suggestions I would like to hear them. Thanks in advance. See ya.
