critique my beat. F4F!

good job man your headed in the right direction if this is your first attempt at this style of music.
-the bass is loud and could be lowered a tad bit.
-try using another melodies in there. i suggest some nice brass or string sounds used in many trap style beats.
-your kicks could hit a little harder. needs more punch.
-the beat gets a little repetitive but i liked that you changed it up a bit at the end. try adding some of that around the beat some more
-mixing needs to improve. some sounds are a little too loud like the bass and the hihats. they are clashing and making a ticking noise.

over all its a great start. better than me when i attempted it! keep it up man and tweek the beat a little more.

The idea of the beats good but you need to make the deeper parts of the bass stand out more by boosting around 30-50 hz and putting a low filter on it with a cutoff of 150-225hz then throw on a compressor boost it by like 4.5-6 DB with a ratio of about 2.5-4.0 then set the threshold to like -15-(-25) db and spend some more hours on the mix bro the kicks could hit a hell of alot harder but it just takes practice i promise you just need to work on kinda mixing up the main synth and cut out instruments from time to time and the drums to make it interesting also add little subtle effects or samples, you always want to have some element of the beat changing from time to time to avoid it getting repetitive. It's good keep working at it.

- I would use a different kick
- I like the drum pattern as a whole -- good bounce
- Instrumentation is cool
- Maybe try adding crashes, transition effects, etc. to spice up your beat
- I would maybe experiment with more melodies/instruments to fill up the beat
- Swithc up at hte end was cool -- i like the beat boxing type part that comes in before it drops
