I understand that cubase educational software is the exact same as the more exspensive software, so what i want to know is do i have to be a student in order to buy it or is there just legal restrictions on releasing comercial music?
Well i live in the UK (England) im not a student and i dont plan on making money i just want to use it for learning before i pay £450 for the full whack, another question i have is, if eventually i want to start making money from cubase, is there a way to simply upgrade from educational to the full version!
* You need proof that you're a student.
* You can't use it for commercial stuff.
* The price cut doesn't apply to updates/upgrades, and I'm fairly sure (this is how it usually goes) that you can't upgrade to the regular version.
In other words, they don't want that EDU discount to be abused.
Yes, you CAN upgrade to full version.......or upgrades, just pay the normal upgrade price ($150, etc.)! I did it from v6 to 6.5, v7 and so on.....without problem!
