v.ray21 said:doode is dope, just blaze just took the spotlight. he put hiself out there and really pushed his name.[ juuusssssttt blazzeeee ] he is official. bink is official. justins resume is a lott deeper. who's too say bink fell off? its what the consumer prefers! same way all these niggas cryin about hip hop is dead since they cant eat off they bars. lol, the consumer dont want yo ****! does that mean yo bars aint nice? not at all.
j.troup said:Please post it. Because if i'm being unnecessarily hard on Bink, then I'd at least like to know.
James Keaze said:There is no special context to that interview. Bink! put the dots out there for both the readers and the interviewer to put together. He may not have brought up Jus's name but he did elaborate ever so bitterly after it was.
No matter how you slice it---dude has a grudge against Jus for outshining him in the long run.
as20gp said:even so if he had a grudge, if the readers and interviewer can put it together.. does that not mean something?
if im asked a question about a person i dont like, ima tell it like it is.. doesnt make anybody bitter, angry, mad, crying or any of that
if you read the WHOLE interview from start to finish.. i dont get how 3 questions about a person can make somebody seem bitter
you realize that bink still gets placements, and gets work to this day?
some people dont choose to be huge monstrous producers, DJ Toomp (untill around when What you Know dropped), Ty Fyffe, Digga, Battlecat, Rick Rock
just because they dont go run around yelling their names on tracks, people def have picked up game from them, and they may have stated it in interviews, and mite be mad.. AS WOULD ANYBODY who feels they have had somethin take from them... but they still put in work.. and that doesnt make them any less successful, or any less of a good producer.
he didnt deny Just Blaze of anything.. he said dude was talented, i dont see whats wrong with him stating his piece, even if he does have a problem with him..
you can still respect people, and not like what they do/done.. i see people do it on FP all the time "i dont like it.. but i respect his hustle" or "i dont like it, but i see why i did it"
and i think Troup made a comparison between Bink! and Jaz-O
the problem wit that logic is that
1. Jaz-O's WHOLE essence is being mad at Jay-Z, whether he has a reason to or not to. His only songs, videos, interviews (the whole time) as of late have been about Jay-Z... Bink didnt mention dudes name.. but niggas KNOW what it is, the interviewer knew what questions he was asking. thats just how it goes.
2. Bink still gets work as a producer on mainstream albums, Jaz never got big work like that.
3. Jaz O and Jay actually WORKED together, grew up together, were close.. Bink! never knew Just outside of the music ****..
and Troup brought up the fact that he left roc-a-fella, actually he didnt, he was still working on roc-a-fella releases up till 07, while JUST left to work on Saigon's ****
some dudes consider success different things, but if Bink! "felloff" i hope i can "falloff" like that and have a career that long and work with some of my favorite artists and work under Teddy Riley
James Keaze said:So after all this time and countless placements he still found time to harbor on this? Sounds bitter to me.
as20gp said:but that goes with ANYTHING and ANYBODY
i mean after all this time, They're still gonna ask Cam'ron why he left, and what happended to Dipset
after all this time, theyre gonna ask Jay-Z, what happended between him and Dame
there gonna ask Stat Quo about Dre
there gonna ask Shyne about Puffy
there gonna ask Royce about Em
anything with any sort of controversy behind it.. there gonna ask it.. years from now, there gonna ask Rick Ross about the CO ****, they still ask 50 about Supreme, there gonna ask Ja Rule about 50
anything that has controversy behind it, big deal or not.. is gonna be asked, and you cant always be on that political "oh i dont wanna answer" thing
and im sure in future Just Blaze interviews theyre gonna ask about the rumors that he took that All of the Above track (which he cleared up), and there gonna ask about Bink! its just how it is
A: Do you really pay attention to your drums or is it something that it is natural to you?
B: It’s definitely not something that I was doing with a conscious effort. It just comes out that way. That’s the difference between me and other people who are trying to mimic that sound.
A: Back in 2000, Jay-Z dropped "The Dynasty", an album that introduced your talent alongside those of Just Blaze and Kanye West. How come we didn’t find you on every Jay albums after that?
B: I did "The Blueprint” which was right after that but I kind of shadow away from the whole Roc-A-Fella scene because I was actually mimicked by somebody within the camp. It doesn’t feel right with me just because I’m from the old school and taking somebody else sound or style or whatever which was called “biting” back in the day is real personal. In the new school, there’s no such thing as “biting”, it’s about getting a check.
A: Who was biting your style?
B: I mean, that’s obvious, you can tell me that!
A: I would say... Just Blaze?
B: Of course! You are the type of guy that pays attention to details. The average fan or the average consumer, they don’t really care about who got what from who. That’s not their concern. If the record is hot, it’s all they care about. But if you are a fan of music, and you have really followed the game, then you know what I brought to the game and what people borrowed from me since I came in.
The crazy thing is that I used to be cool with the guy. Just Blaze and me were cool at one time doing the whole “Dynasty” and “Blueprint”. Once it got to the point where he was taking what I was doing, it doesn’t fit right with me. He ended up signing to Gee Roberson and Hip-Hop who were A&Rs for Roc-A-Fella. Once I wasn’t really feeling what was going on, they kind of let me behind and I pursued my career in other places.
A: So you ‘re any longer cool with Just Blaze, right?
B: We definitely don’t talk [laughs]. But when I first met the guy, he sounded like Swizz Beatz! That’s the irony to the story. He’s the only guy that I’ve heard in the game taking from so many producers. He’s starting to come to his own now a little bit but even now he’s more sounding like a Toomp or a Drumma Boy. He does what’s hot and that’s the part of the game that I told you I don’t agree with. I’m not going to do something because everybody else is doing it. He’s infamous for borrowing from people, that’s his M.O.. He’s a talented guy, I might say but he hasn’t brought anything to the game that he has come up with. That’s the only thing he’s missing: his own sound.
