The thing is that I don't think Busta meant anything in a malicious / degrading way. Maybe he didn't know what the hell he was saying.

But certain things do offend ppl cuz tha action itself is offensive (quotin Quran in a song, especially one that is contradictory to tha messages of the Quran). Busta doesn't hav to apologize - just it to b clear that he can do a funny song bout Arabs or acknowledge love for the culture in a different manner.
I don't see nethin wrong when ppl take offense to Fat Joe or DJ Khaled droppin tha N bomb - they hav a right to b offended. But since the person who committed the offensive act did it witout a malicious intent, they should b approached wit an explanation how they have been offensive n their actions r inappropriate from a friend to friend standpoint, especially since ppl r fans of these artists - rather than get angry n flip out. When ur friend offends u, u just let em know that wat they did ain't right - u ain't gotta go haywire on that ass, haha...

The prince of saudi arabia had a birthday party the other night in hollywood. He LOVES the song. He had the dj play it so much I was tired of the **** by the end of the night. Also he had akon and sean kingston perform. Everybody is going to have mixed feelings. I know a lot of middle eastern people...they look at the song as a tribute to their wealth.

Lol whether or not he meant to be disrespectful means nothing. The folks have spoken and they don't like it one bit. I personally think the song should get pulled. The Execs knew what they were doing and Busta is their puppet.. They wanted that controversy.

When i think about it. I think about how i would feel as a black person to have a song portray something about me. And to have a bunch of non-white people using stereotypical "black" language would be offensive to me.
Even if they were saying "We ROCKIN BLACK MAN JEWLEREY"....... dats offensive becuase it makes it seem like we all wear those rediculous jewlery pieces. Now of course black folks who actually wear dat may take that as a compliment. But switch it back to arab culture...... ALOT of people in da middle east are in harsh conditions. So its a slap in da face to act as if all arab people are banking off oil. OF COURSE a privelaged Saudi business man might take at it as a compliment cuz he's actually da one promoting that stereotype.......
But i understand Busta might not have meant it as a diss but if he were to turn it around and look at it from a black perspective it may have been apparent. Im glad they could work it out though
