any one know were gucci mane's producer zaytoven gets his sounds from.are they hardware or software.if you need a reference listen to gucci mane's song pillz.
 
i wasnt even gonna reply to dis but zayoven is my nigga we be at his crib all the time, me and la flair, he uses a hardware rack, but the sound is unique because he automates his phasing and chorus filtering effects to get that phat synth, he calls it bug juice lead

thanks man i just never heard any of his sounds before i aint trying to jack his style but damn them beats is fire then he got gucci mane rappin over them its striaght hell.
 
zaytoven make hot beats...but they sound a lot like shawty redd's beats
 
they style is very different but he uses a fantom..and I think a vst not sure tho
 
zay beats bang but they all sound the same to me. not hating... just being real. i like the bounce feel but they all seem to have the same off beat (purposely i know) snare/clap combo. Yall know what i'm talking bout. shout out to zaytoven.

I agree that a lot of Zaytoven's beats sound similar. But that's his trademark... Most producers have a significant trademark that they run with... And it's hot so... "If ain't broke, don't try to fix it".

How can a nigga holla at Zay for beats though ?

Cause I rap. And I'm tryna network with all the hottest producers out here and ZayTiggy is definitely one of em'.

They both from the west coast. that might play a factor in the sound.

When you say la flair, you talkin bout Gucci Mane? And Zaytoven is what made Gucci's Hard to Kill a hood classic. Shame Gucci got all those no name-ass producers on Back 2 da Traphouse. Some of the beats banged, but there was no flow to the album like Hard To Kill with Zaytoven's beats.

I ran across 2 VST's that sound similar to Zaytoven's sound.

#1 - Korg Legacy Collection Digital Edition (It has the Korg M1 in it but it does not have portamento.) and Zaytoven uses the newer version, the Korg M3 (hardware) and it has portamento.

#2 - Arturia minimoog V (Now I don't know if he uses this or not BUT IT SOUNDS SO MUCH LIKE HIS STUFF IT'S REDICULOUS!!!)

So go and check these out mane and I hope I have helped you out a lil bit.
 
Man I got hypersonic.nexus.fm 7 n 8.crystal.massive.korg m1 and a ensoniq but I can't find a few sounds zay got...I think he makin tha $%it From Scratch

Man zaytoven and shawty redd got the same drum kit but not the same style of beats hell naw shawty redd use a fantom x6 and a mpc 2000xl and zaytoven use a triton and mpc 2000 xl
 
zaytoven uses a korg m3 and a sampling station. he also uses different racks. but i know for a fact uses a korg m3.
 
i agree that alot of his beats do sound the same but i geuss i can hate i was on youtube the other day watching him produce some shit not in my top 5 list but hes pretty ILL
