i know a lot of threads have been started about these two but, how is the sampling on the motif es-6 compared to a fantom x6?

the motif sampling is good, i used it on the new beats i just put up.................

and all i do is sample, it's eASY once you get the hang of it

thanks for the help. i listened to your tracks and you got some fire. does the es-6 have time stretch because one of your samples sounded like it had it.

I was thinking of getting an mpc to sample on and do drums. I own a motif yet it doesn't have enough memeory for me to sample I think I'll upgrade it before buying and MPC!Your beats are dope PKRyhmes!

you can buy more memory, the same kind youd use for a pc and ram doesnt cost much these days. to keep the price down, yamaha cut sample ram out of the motif ES keyboard. of course its a price that gets passed onto the consumer who wants to really sample.

I have the Motif Classic. I have been told that I can buy regular ram!

thankz , it's just pk but i would upgrade the motif becuase drum sampoles dont even take up that much space, to me an mpc is not needed........ but thankz for peeping the beats...............pk

So how much can you get on there? Like a couple 8 bar loops worth of sample time or space plus drums?

i never get the tempo i'll cut a sample into pieces usde my ear and use the tune on the track to sync it upo after i put the pieces in until it fits, it's real eay to loop the ends though because you can actually see the wave form on the screen.......hope that helps...............pk

If I get one the expansion boards should I also increase my memory? I want to get the vocal harmony board, and also have enough memory to have a good amount of sample time with the motif es6. I want to be able to load some drums, an 8 bar loop, and make my own sounds with the presets.

i got 512mb but you can put up to 1 gig so you got enough time for anything
