For those of you interested in the Allen & Heath Xone V6, Shorty of Systems By Shorty (www.systemsbyshorty.com - brilliant engineer, I reckon) and Scott Fitlin (old NYC sound engineer guy) tried out the V6 at NYC's Centro Fly with David Morales the past Friday, and if you wanna read their thoughts, check this out:

These guys are mad crazy audiophiles, so take that into account when reading, but they still had some very interesting things to say about this $45000 mixer.

Ouch. Not exactly a passionate welcome... Not like I am going to own one, ever, but I still figured that it would get a better review from the wavemusic heads...

Man, that's an expensive mixer! And I thought a $4,500 mixer was expensive...

:o :p :D

hahahahaha. I know I put a digit too much there but what the feck? It's still mad expensive anyway.

Off topic, and I am not trying to be a phuturesoul groupie or anything, but that new logo is hot. I remember the 7th knob being smaller though... Maybe I am nuts. I think it is funny that you post a thread about the A&H, and you have your bozak sitting right under your post. Later.

the 7th knob isn't smaller, but it's actually farther off from the other 6, I just cut the pic to get the 7th letter in there...

but thanks for the props!:D I can't guarantee it's gonna look like that once the new design is up though, hehehe...

mattu, just ignore me. I'm just an annoying little ***** like that, but I did think it was funny!

I'd have to agree...the new logo is phat!

on the topic of old mixers i was walking around a deptment store with my wife and i saw a bag with a urei 1620 on it...

i was very excited and had to get myself one.... its dead sexy just the faceplate, knobs and lettering....

japan is cool like that....

it was about five dollars but worth every yen...

that futuresoul logo is badass.. bozak, eh?

i was wondering but didn`t want to ask...

you can also buy urei from thier website if you have the $$

yeah, it's the input dial fader row from an early 70s Bozak. The later ones, I hear, are preferrable because they have the better ALPS pots.
