Sup yall,

Been here awhile now and been producing awhile now, and I think I got composing pretty much down. I use Reason and a Oxygen Keyboard, but I also got Cubase, Soundforge, and Acid. Im tryin to learn how to sample songs, but I always end up with messed up measures/bars, and the original song's snares and drums are still in there....i dunno...i just cant get the hang of it for the life of me. Check out some of my beats at:

And yeah....those are some of my earlier beats. Ive become better this past month, and I've definitely got even some more hot shyt that Imma put up later. But neways, yeah Im tryin to definitely learn how to sample, cuz thats whats hot in the game right now. I would definitely appreciate it if anybody would be willing to give me their AIM S/N or MSN S/N so I can chat with them and kinda get more insight how to use Soundforge and Reason to flip a sample. Thanks a lot...appreciate it!

Its alwaysbeen around and is starting to get hatted on and played out by people who just follow the mainstream mtv hip hop. Pluss its getting harder to clear samples.

What are you tryin to sample. Vocals like kanye, or are you trying to loop a melody from a song

Thanks for the replies. A little of both actually, but mostly the melodies...like all the Dipset and Rocafella beats...I mean..on one hand they competely outshine the artist thats rappin on them, but I dont really care that much because the beat has a life of its own. I mean I probably ain't gonna get into sampling as my main source of beats, but to know how to is definitely a must in today's industry. Thanks....
