Will the fader mods that can be done on the Ecler Hak will work with Ecler SMAC Pro?

The fader mod i'm talking about is here http://www.asisphonics.com/modsquad.html under PVC in Ecler/Rane Mod

I have a smac pro 30 which has a VCA fader.

Also what difference will I notice when having a ALPS or PVC fader.

It sounds like it will work but want to make sure.

Any help would be great.
