i kno mad peepo posted this already but im styll not getting it lol what is the best way to sample in FL studio i tried its not working out i cut my sample right but my kicks snares and all that neva seems to fit right

try stretching it to the exact bar u want (use the time knob on the channel settings), then changin the tempo accordingly

i stretched it and change the tempo as much as possible its still a lil off but thx im working on it lol

iight dis whut i got so far its my first sample its a lil crappy but hey i gotta learn yo

Most of the times the snares and and hihats will always be off slightly... your samples most likely were played live .. take that into consideration. Most people who have the same complaint that you have are super duper loopers ... lol you have more control over the loop if you chop it up and timestretch each piece to fit how you want it.
It's that easy..lol If you can't sample in FL, you may want to give up beat programimng because nothing is more easier.

Just zoom as close into the sample as you can, then you can timestretch it by 1 notches, it's almost fool proof.

yeh it's how u set it up in FL u can just throw it in there using the FL samplers & timestretch or u can use the piano roll to sample, personally i use the piano roll cause u got alot more control over it, try importing your samples.

iight thx to everybody who responded yea so i figured out what works for me and yea i was chopping real nice and stretching it so i finally got it lol PEACE!

im a loop fanatic yo this the second sample i eva flipped its been done b 4 but i like it so i tried to redo it lol:sing:

I agree

I just go to the playlist editor and on the bottom (underneath where you do the sequences ) I load the sample there and do my chopping and time stretching 2 minute process.

Yo. what you do, or what you can do rather is take the best minute out of the song you want to sample. cut it in that minute, save it as only the minute, make your drumline in fl.. then just throw the whole ****in minute into the fruit slicer and there you go, chop chop in seconds.. then go edit on that track, cut that ****.. and begin to re-arrange the chops to something fresh. i do that with all of my beats. can't wait to get my asrx-pro, cause fl studio will be no more.

yeah well actually fruity slicer chops them for you how much easier can it get seriously? i agree with the slappy slap on this topic.

I only use the Slicer if I know its gonna work for me. I have been using Native Instruments Intakt. Create your own slices and map them on the keyboard. And the timestretch is hot to.

i wasnt chopping it up in FL at first but i am now its not that hard when u think bout it so my bad

when u get the sample the way u want it then speed up the tempo a lil iight and u should be str8

Directwave is easy as hell for chopping and looping. I use FL for all my beats.

I also have some old vids on there that show how to chop using FL and Kontakt. I don't use that method anymore, but it may help some people out.
