Man these fools can't even begin to know who Playa Fly is. I wish I had all the time in the world to explain the full history of 3-6, Playa Fly, Gangsta Black and so on, but it's taken almost my whole 24 years of existence living right here in Memphis in the midst of all this ish to garner all this info. I'd die before I could explain it all......

By the way, anyone else in here from Memphis?

Hell yea! LOL

Remember when they where beefin with Bone saying they stole their style and came out with that B.O.N.E. Diss EP???? HAHAHAHAHHA

Playa Fly Got Some Bumpin Shyt... Fav song by him is "Ghetto Eyes"

And yeahh i remember when they dissed bone on dat "Live By Your Rep" album...

they arent gone.... their touring right now. going around to college towns just ****in **** up... i went to one of their shows up here in boston just to get ****in wasted and listen to repetitive rap... the kind **** everyone remembers the lyrics cuz its just 'fcuk that sh11t ' every 2 seconds.

1993-2005 three 6s golden years. once they got that show on mtv it went down hill........

I was thinking like "Last 2 Walk hasn't even dropped yet!!!"

Three-6 ain't fall off in the least. Crunchy left for a lil minute then he came back. That's the core of the the group right there...Juice, Paul and Crunch. And of course Project Pat by extension.

But the last CD was hot. This one ain't came out yet, cuz I'm sure the pressure was getting to them. The Oscar win, the TV show, all that stuff. New pressure and new expectations will do that to you.

Project Pat was fresh off that bid that he did, and that album was rushed out. And he was caught up in that hollyhood sh*t too, and labels were rushing EVERYTHING, trying to capitalize on the buzz.

But now that the buzz has died down, now that people have forgotten about the Oscar, Three-6 can get back to what they do best.

This is my area of expertise. I was born and raised right here in Memphis, Tennessee. The home of Elvis, BB King, the death place of Martin Luther King, and of course........the home of 3-6 Mafia.............Gangsta Boo:
Enquiring Minds (SO DAMN CLASSIC)
Enquiring Minds 2 (Goes just as hard)

Enquiring Minds 2.....that dropped post HCP, but it was a nice cd, imo
the best post Three 6 release for any of the members

t-rock, koopsta, la chat and the rest released garbo...without paul & j beats they were nothing

on another note, I MISS THE POSSE SONGS...an HCP release aint nothin without a real posse song..best one is from "Ghetty Green", "Whatever Ho", had MC Mack and abuncha others

Ma-ma-mafia.....are mega-garbo-mania now, im not even lookin forward to Last 2 Walk

How you gonna go from Paul, Juicy J, Crunchy Black, Gangsta Boo, Lord Infamous, Koopsta....to just Paul & Juicy J....im wondering if Last 2 Walk has any material from "DJ Paul & Juciy J - Cashin Checks"...lmao, would be the same album now

They went hollywood literally. They still try to be Memphis but they ain't having it.

man, when the smoke clears is my ****!

I don't think three six should have ever took the deal with sony, sony ****ed them up, why do you think they had released a song with chamillionare as opposed to project pat (dope boy fresh). the label is controlling them, they were better of independent.

I've been listening to three six since waaaaayy back, ne one remember murderers and robbers?

I hope their deal with sony wasn't to long, I bet as soon as they get outta the contract they go back to the old 36. (I hope)

anybody ever noticed how much three six samples movie scores?

yea i dont think their coming back. Without gangsta boo and la chat, the **** is whack unless Juicy J and Paul hop straight on them beats. But they gone be slackin on the beats cause they gon be worried about to much other **** like their show, etc. The labels made them do all this, they dont keep it real anymore. Its like now the lyrics are forced out of them. And they will NEVER go back to their old style.

I heard only like 2 good songs off of last 2 walk.

a lot of old members from three 6 mafia went to prophet posse, like koopsta knicca, lord infamous, gangsta boo

anyone **** with the current Prophet Posse?

1. Gangsta Boo had just lefyt the label but but it was still realeased under Hypnotised Minds and was FULLY produced by Paul and Juice!!!!

2. I always wondered what happened to Cashin' Checks. Like you said, I guess this is kinda the same thing. LOL

I just wonder how much material they have sitting on the shelves from over the years. I would be willing to bet these guys have more recorded material than any other artist in the industry!!!!

errrr, that wasn't an HCP release nor was it produced by Paul & J.

DJ Montay, Drumma Boy, Nitti & some other GA producers did those beats...although some of the tracks were similar to Paul and J's style...Best Of Both Worlds *69 was the last solo Boo album with hypnotized minds

One thing about 36 is the have the funniest outros of al time lol

co-sign....aside from Juicy J's sudden outburst and "SHUT THE F-CK UUUUUUUUPPP's, the pretend release dates are also hilarious, they took "Coming Soon" to a whole new level"

Im very surprised with all the 3-6 fans on this site, yes it is sad how they kind of changed the whole sound and toned down their music, like from making beats sounding like they would fit a in a horror movie's film score to popping collars with Bow Wow, But I do LOVE the big promo and recognition (a gift and a curse I guess)they have been getting because doing this music thing since 1990 is a long damn time

Shyt like "Live by yo rep" and the club memphis undergrounds and lord infamous "come with me to hell" tapes is the shyt you will never ever hear again, but I was satisfied with everything that came out up untill the Choices 1 soundtrack, after that i been losing touch, i believe thats the last cd that had those dark an dreary underground feel beats, i kind of took on that style..... I miss that kind of shyt and some of the members....... hell i even miss Crunchy Black LOL:cry:

I think i miss Triple 6 mafia not Three 6 mafia if ya know what i mean.....

I remember seeing them live @ concert back in 2000.It was a rowdy show.
