My vision is to make it pump like a pop track but yet hit hard like a trap beat. Side-chain compression seems to be among the big deal right now. What do yall think? Any Plugins you might recommend

I just listen your beat with the link you post, and for my point of view your mix is cool. For my mix I use few plugins, you know less is more. So I put a eq on all of my track to cut the useless frequencies, low cut, high cut. After I add a compresser if that needed to get more puch, also i add a lil beat more high frequencies to get more presence in my mix and that's all. Obviouly I add some reverb or delay to spatialise my instruments. If you want to really increase your mix, check the Youtube channnel : Pensado's Palace, I promise you'll find what you need.
