Bored? Step out of your comfort zone and try a different style. If all you make is trap then try something totally different. Listen to some Black Hippy stuff by any one of them, should provide ample incentive. Try something from a different genre...Pop, Rock, whatever.

I'mma try to make 3 mixtapes full of beats one day. Not worrying about being unique with the arrangements....or extra spectacular or nothing. Just quick loops and mute arrangements. Going for 60 beats.

Word I don't even wanna do that for 2-3 hours everyday, so yea if I made beats 8 hours a day e'day it would be boring as shit.
I run a studio and work with an artist pushing him so I'm always recording, promoting, mixing, reading/learning about mixing and mastering, etc etc. When I actually have time to make a beat or have a producing/writing session its fun as hell and I still feel like a lil kid makin beats on fl for the first time lol
So my advice is do other shit besides "making beats". Work on mixing, mastering, promoting, finding artists, start a business, build a website yada yada yada. Theres a lot more to "producing" than making beats. Thats like a basketball player that can only slam dunk.

Get new sounds, make different types of beats...idk if would recommend a break most of the time because it can be hard to get back into music after a lengthy break.

I think my problem is that I learned so much shit...its like for me the fun part was learning...I lost some of that strive to get better. Sometimes I miss the times when I didn't know anything. Weird right? I was a lot more motivated and determined to get to the point...think it...do it. That kept it fun because I seen the progress happen over time...Funny thing is its always more to learn with this music stuff. These days I make music more as a job than a hobby...which was the opposite before. Rome is right though...to much of something can make you unhappy....ehh wth am I talkin about dont mind me 2x Four Lokos...still hangin lol.
