I'm about to buy a new Mic pre for vocal recording. I have a Saffire Pro 24 right now, and i use a Shure ksm32 and a Shure ksm27 condensor Mics.. I was looking at these 5 pre amps.

Universal audio/610- 799$
Grace design m101 - 565$
P-Solo - 599$
Daking Mic-pre One - 765$
ISA oneDigi - 799$

They are all single Mic-Pres..Please let me know why you like the one you do. And I'm aware that all 5 i listed have different qualities. I record mostly Hip Hop vocals..Any advice or input would be great..THANK YOU in advance..

What are you looking for in a preamp? The Grace, True and (for the most part) the Focusrite are "clean" preamps. Not really imparting any sonic signature.

The UA is a tube preamp and will have some color to it. The Daking has a flavor to it, and is one of my favorites. Great sounding pre, not over colored. It's also got the variable high pass filter, which is a Godsend for vocal recording. Tons of gain for low output mics like the SM7.
