Where is my problem with Yamaha MM6 hook up?

Hi all,

I am using a Yamaha MM6 with Fruity Loops. Right now, I only have capability of using it as a controller. I'm looking to use the midi sounds/instruments off of the yamaha mm6 to use with producing in FL Studio. I also have a TASCAM 144 audio interface.

I have the MIDI out from the keyboard going to MIDI in on the interface. I have the MIDI USB end going to my computer and interface USB going to my computer.

Do I need more cables to get the sounds off my keyboard and in to FL?

You don't need USB and Midi cables. The USB connection will handle the midi in/out connection. You will also need to make a connection from the audio outputs of your MM6 to your interface because Midi will not pass the actual audio.
