Where did the Neptunes get their Clav Sound From?

that clav/e guitar sound, im not trying to bite, i have a sorta creative idea to use it with.

i dont think it was from the triton, cause the clav sounds a lot different.

There is an article in which chad outlines this exact sound. Just search for Neptunes article and u will find it posted on this site.
 
i found it its actually from the KORG 01/W Workstation. "clavichord", it hits a lot harder than the clav on my triton but if you tweak the attack and EQ it a bit you can almost get it on the triton.
 
Yeah, I knew it was a KORG product but I didn't wanna open my mouth and give out some wrong info. Anyway, there ya go...
 
actually roland had it first, find the interview and pharell says they got it from a roland so !!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Actually I read that yes it was a clavichord preset on the Korg, but was later replaced by a LIVE GUITAR.
