When Having Thought the Song Has Been Really Professional?

I remember when T.I.'s song "Whatever You Like" came out. At that time I thought the sound has been really professional, kind of like "cinematic".

And now it sounds like a beat with Reason stock sounds.

By now I can recognize the notes and also the instruments better.

What are some songs you may have thought of as "cinematic"? Maybe at some prior time.

Did it sound different to yourself later on?

i always thought that song sounded like a 90's video game. reminds me of the legend of zelda or something of that nature. it was and still is a dope sound tho.

this used to be the shit tho

Cool song.

It sounds like it is in the key: C# minor

The chord is: C#min
It goes like: C#min, B, C#min, C#, D#, E, D#, then C#min again.

I tried it quickly with my typing keyboard.

How does the song sound like to yourself now?

To myself it also sounded like a Soundclick beat, though cool song

that's why is about making songs beats should be at least decent but the songs needs to be dope....

I love those type of beats, those epic motion picture-like tracks

I always through this had the production on another level.

Just Clauz, great one! That one sounds like Reason stock sounds to myself!

I have another one:

Notice how there is the intro and when it goes over to the verse it is just the drums and arpegggio.

I love those stock sounds being used for major record label releases. Sometimes those simple sounds work well. I often use only presets for songs. Most come out sounding good. I encourage producers to use more presets in their works.

I always thought it sounded kinda cheesy , but not in a bad way. In a pop way. As far as cinematic it doesn't sound like that to me at all.
