whats the proper name for a 1/8 to red n white plugs? basically wat im trying to do is connect my lexicon omega to my soundcard holla back
 
those are y audio cables, and the red and white are called phono plugs.
 
hmm well what kind of outputs does your lexicon have? and what kind of input does your soundcard have?

chances are you might need 2 1/4ths to 1 1/8th....

this is da deal..

my monitors and my mic are hooked up to my lexicon, and i wanna connect my lexicon to the soundcard so my monitors and mic could function without me switchin my audio device settings to "lexiconomega usb", i wanna keep da setting at "soundblaster x-fi"
 
...most of the point of something like the omega is to bypass the crappy soundblaster card. you will get better quality recordings using the usb. why do you want to use the omega as just a preamp? if you were just going to use the preamp and go into the soundblaster anyway you could have spent your money on a better preamp than the one that is built into the omega.
