One time I met him at a producer conference and he said he uses beetmaker vst on all of his tracks.

who cares if i get shat big deal im was curious and wanted to know isnt his the site for if your got a question ask it. how bout some one respond to my other post.

You sure that's Colossus? It could be any Eastwest Collection, you gotta make sure you name the right 1!!! What if it's Symphonic Orchestra Gold or Hardcore Bass? Then dude will get the wrong thing and he won't sound like Dre.

And the Green module is "Kompakt" not Kontakt. See, you f**kin it all up!!! He's also got a Kore system, I beleive and iMac? 2 MPC 3000s, a Keystation 88, and although not pictured, I'm pretty sure if they panned a little further over, you'd see an authentic Rhodes MKII and some synth that I have no clue of the name of.

Also notice that Beetmaker vsti isn't on the screen. Until he loads it up, he's not making a hit record. "Say What You Say(the Jermaine Dupri Diss)" is an example of how Dre's beats sound without Beetmaker magic.

lol... at deranged. That's funny sh*t right there.

People just don't get it. Dre always sounds like Dre no matter what because he is Dre. I could roll into Dre's studio right now and use his personal 5 minute hit maker setup (it's not real) and I would sound like me....... on Dre's setup. Guitar players do the same stuff, what guitar is so and so playing, what effects, what amp. Here it is: the first thing they could get their hands on that sounded good to them. Stop worrying about what everybody else is using/doing and do you. Making Dre ask about what the hell YOU are using would be the better approach to the situation.

we understand that...maby the dude who posted this wasnt tryin to jack dre style...he was just curious,...aint nothing wrong with that?

shoot i was curious too..not meaning im gunna go out and get what dre uses...

the kore 2 might just be collecting dust...also remeber alot of his equiptment is most likely freebies. companies would kill to say dr dre is using my product...no different from a clothing company giving rappers free clothes......i bet money NI gave dre the hook up on the kore 2

the piece of gear under the monitor looks like the KORE control by native instruments.

i know the brown one is trilogy, which is a bass vst if u aint know, as for the other ****, i have no idea, i wonder what DAW that is. I always picked Dre as an all hardware kinda guy seein as how he been makin beats since dinosaurs croaked

I read in a recent interview he relies on the beatmaker vst heavily. He actually is currently a sponsor for the beatmaker vst.

Forget the vst's its all about the sweater he's wearing thats wear all the real power is held. If you can get you hands on the sweater all his power will be lost and you will be the next super producer.

The mixer on the screen is the Logic mixer. Wouldn't surprise me he looks like he's writing, which is what that DAW's all about. It's most likely all dumped into PT HD for the mix.
