What They Do! Sampled Track from Backstabbers...

I know some people feel that using loops of samples is cheap, but I've been doing this for like eight years and what I've found out is that even using entire loops of samples is hard to make a good track out of; you still need to have skill. Anyway, here's what I did with the old song "Back Stabbers". I like the groove that came out of it. It's not mixed or finished, just the first verse to get some feedback. Let me know what you think!

I'm not a fan of sampled beats, but in my opinion this is one of the best sampled tracks that I've ever heard (I haven't heard alot of them though). What I like the most are the drums and the percussion, the sample is also nice. Really haven't got alot bad things to say about it.

Loop or no loop it's a good track. Good drums, and you captured the vibe of the sample very well. No complaints from me.

It's more of a remix. Not bad at all. In fact, pretty good speeded up like that.

Thanks! Finished product.. lol uhh it's probably just gonna loop like that for three verses.. I'm getting pretty lazy, I started that beat like a month ago. Maybe I'll get some motivation when my friend raps on it.

Yeah I know, I just like to put that out there for all the people who bash using whole loops. After I'm done getting enough comments on this beat, I'm going to upload another sampled beat I did, except this one I chopped the hell out of, and used like 12 different cuts; It's really creative. Thanks for the comment.

- I thought the percussion was too loud and it over powered the sample a bit
- Thought you could also use some tom fillers as well

I know I hate when that happens. When I'm going through my records looking for a sample I'll always check "who sampled.com" to hear what people have done with it already, and 9 times out of ten it's been whored out like crazy. I had already started this one before I checked it though so it's whatever. I'll check out your track when I get to a place with speakers. Thanks for the feed.
 
Whats good, I love a good sampled beat. This joint rides too. Nice drum play. I want to hear more chops on this though, I think that would really set it off. And some more low end, get that bass crankin lol.
