What kind of equipment should I buy for House and club music?

I made the mistake of buying cheap equipment when I was not so serious about Djing but now I am really getting into it. My goal is to do club and house type music but still I have love for all music...should I just go for the Technics and go vinyl, or would it be better to use Serato and a laptop for the kind of music I want to dj?

for house and club i would suggest cdj-1000mk3 or the 900's and for a mixer djm-800. But if your into hip hop and top 40s its a different story. i use techinics 1200 mk5's and a rane mixer(ttm 57sl) with serato built in.

I played straight house the first 6 or so years I dj'ed. I would say CDJs are the standard for house dj's. A lot of people use Pioneer DJM-800s. However, for house, I'm more into rotary mixers like the Rane MP 2016. I use to own an original Urei 1620.
