I'm kinda new at this, and would like to know what is a good hardware sequencer? I have a few keyboards, drum machines and thangs like that, and when I create a drum track on my drum machine and want to drop say a horn riff I have to punch it in everytime I want it in the beat and the timing is crazy, recording on a Tascam414, Yeah I know I have old equipment no software and no computer, but is there any hardware sequencer I could get at a decent price to avoid this?

Thanks

The Yamaha RM1X is still a pretty solid sequencer, although the internal sounds are quite weak. They're fairly cheap these days.

The P3 is pretty hardcore and rock solid, from what I've heard. I've wanted a Doepfer Schaltwerk since I first laid my eyes on it, but unfortunately they're no longer manufactured (not to mention $1200 is f*cking steep for a glorified step seq :D)

//edit: Oh, there's always the MPC, of course. Also pretty expensive for just sequencing.

I dont about the keyboards, but the command stations have a sick sequencer, and an awesome synth engine. They are waaaaaay under priced too. you gotta get them used on ebay though.

count asr-x out if you are talking about the sequencer..
it is horrible.. maybe it is little bit improved with newst OS but...
asr-x is for the sound... with indi efx for every track..

how do you get individual effects for each track with the asr-x? without th x-8 you do get reverbs for each track, but only one send. just wondering, maybe im missing something...let me know:)
