What Genre's are Best for Classic Hip-Hop Drum Loops?

I was watching this video (see below) of Just Blaze making a beat and at 4:00 he starts whipping out COUNTLESS classic drum loops, every single one perfect for hip-hop and I'm wondering, what genres is he going through where there are moments of such powerful drums playing without any music over them.

What genres is he getting such classic loops from?

Jazz funk blues soul rock . 70s era was full of classic breaks. Less pc was involded back then !you can also buy classic break compilation vinyls' its saves some digging time.
