My analogy is fine. Look at the context in which I was referring. First of all "Intelligence" has NOTHING to do with being smart enough to dumb down lyrics to make money. If that were the case than they'd be little more than Dogs who know how to beg.

Once again, you seem to not know what the point of an IQ test is.

I beg to differ. Its really not the IQ of the rapper or artist. Its the IQ of the consumer because they are the ones that are lining these rappers pockets for putting out this material. I mean I think that E-40 is pretty damn smart myself. Not that I like his music but he knows what hes doing. Making Money. He knows that these kids have a short attention span. Its this day and age. People are dumber than they were 20 years ago. Especially consumers.
 
Plus, different environments changes IQ Test results whether rapper or not.

Haha, that's funny. Cats that don't make money don't eat. If the dog begs, he's smarter than the dog with pride that won't, because at the end of the day, he eats. Go try to feed your family with "poetry". Don't get me wrong, poetry takes loads of intelligence and creativity, and I actually prefer it to today's mainstram music, but it won't put bread in your pockets OR on the table. It's hard enough to live as a mainstream artist in music, much less an underground cat that just wants to get his feelings off of his chest.

That's probably the most ignorant thing I've ever heard (or seen in this case) anyone say. I guess it's fair to judge the south as a whole on what you've heard in the industry, but take into consideration that a lot of people, like myself, are intelligent college educated people that happen to rap, and be good at it. Don't generalize people like that, it makes you sound stupid yourself. I hate this misconception that people make about southern people and stupidity. Get real man, first off, Wayne (New Orleans) is probably the hottest rapper in the game right now, secondly I think you're partial to your geographic location, because if I had to pick any one region as the "smartest", which I wouldn't ever do, it'd be the north. Third, if the west was so smart (as far as mainstream rappers go), you'd have more of a buzz in the hip-hop game right now. The hottest **** you guys have out is "Buttons" with Snoop, and that ****'s kinda whack if you ask me.

I just saw a news report in which reporters said I.Q. tests are inaccurate.

I've had mixed feelings on the subject since I read the actual definition of Intelligence: the ability to learn or understand or to deal with new or trying situations : [SIZE=-1]REASON[/SIZE]; also : the skilled use of reason. A universal test could eliminate confusion when dealing with I.Q.'s. I also think it should be timed because having great intelligence includes comprehending quickly as well as correctly.

However, there are a couple of factors that could distort your I.Q. such as sleeping habbits, comfort, etc...This means that my score could change from day to day when in reality my I.Q. should stay constant.

On seconded thought, I'm almost certain that one's I.Q. doesn't stay constant when they are a child or an elderly adult...

Like someone said before, I don't want to know my "I.Q." because I don't like being labelled.

I think you give the rappers to much credit.... if anything its the labels that are smart.

It impossible to guess, but that takes the fun out of it. 100 is average IQ. Mine is 146 and im in the international high IQ society http://www.highiqsociety.org/iq_tests/ . Click IQ test and start and you can take and see what you score. This has been the most reliable one for me.

Now for rappers, I'm guessing the limits will be George Bush's(retard level) to 140. But most will probably fall in the 90-100 category. Maybe 1 or 2 will have 140 but no more. thinking every single rapper is dumbing down is a stupid conspiracy theory. You could only go by what they present to the public since we cant judge them on something that we dont know exists.;)
