Lol Don't I know it. Smoking is filthy. I can admit I started smoking when I was a youngster because I thought it was cool. Dumbest mistake I ever made. Quitting will be the biggest challenge I've ever faced. You'll never catch me smoking around my son though. Doesn't make it right. I'm learning to care more about myself. Hopefully I'll kick the habit. I wasn't really saying you won't meet your full potential. I was just saying it doesn't seem like you will. Mostly because it seems like you don't want to.

I'd say the IQ is pretty high. Either that or their manager's are brilliant. I say this because they KNOW HOW TO MAKE MONEY. Don't get me wrong, I love underground MC's, but there's nothing wrong with a mainstream artist. I get so tired of these mother****ers saying that "nobody's poetic" anymore. MOST people ((listeners), (not artists and true hip-hop lovers)) don't want to hear poetry. They want something simple that they can get stuck in their heads, or dance to. While you and I might be able to appreciate the alliteration, metaphors, flow patterns, use of internals, etc.. most people won't. Here's the equation.

SIMPLICITY + BOUNCE + MUSIC = HIT SINGLE
HIT SINGLE + PEOPLE = MONEY
Therefor: SIMPLICITY = MONEY

It doesn't take a genius to figure that out, but it takes an idiot to ignore it. Everyone's gotta eat. No matter how profound you think you are. People want entertainment. Why do you think the majority of people would rather watch Scarface than a History Documentary? It's action packed. That's why. No one cares about facts, they want video game material. Neither of the things you said have any application to having a high IQ or not.

Not strictly true...if this were the case everybody would be millionaires, making money is extremely necessary but isn't a natural instinct....were as a dog getting food is.....if you threw someone on an island they wouldn't start thinking mmmm....i gotta get some money...they'd think that felling in my stomach means i needs foods.
