This is something that I created today. I think it came out really nice. Maybe my nicest yet. But what do you think?

Yeah I usually don't think people pull off the gated synths, but these were dope as hell. The sample was sick too, what vocals did you sample for it? Good work on the drums too man

Thanks man. The sample was from "Arms" by christina perri. I messed with it a bit and reversed it at some parts.

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]i agree with the rest about the synths man. they are real dope . i feel more coulda been done with the drums tho. you could have added hi hats in the 2nd verse or somethin to create a build up. the usage of the 808s were real nice tho for transitions and the drum fills. keep it up man this is dope

appreciate it if you could feed me back:

NICE the mixing and mastering are pretty spot on though yes the snare/hit could stand out more. either add delay; reverb, gain or layer! now this very much so reminds me of a beat i copped online https://soundcloud.com/ctkoth/nirvana the one difference the beat I got online has is that there is a catchy LEAD in it. dude add a lead and you'll be so much above the generic sound you have now (which is still very good and not even that generic; i feel you should do yourself the justice of making it stand out more though you def have the capabilities or at least the ear for mixing)

nice work!

everyone seems critical of the snare...but I don't feel its that weak at all.

maybe you could eq something thats taking up the snares sonic space...or raise the snare a touch in the mix...or lengthen/raise the reverb so it reaches out more.

but i thought the snare was fine.

The gated synth sounded great! I feel like experimenting more with gates now lol

The Bass notes attack may be taking away from the kickdrum attack....
Try a volume automation to make each bass note 'rise up' from under the kick....
this way you dont have to eq anything away, just give everything more room.

I felt this track could've waved and wandered more, like more transparent and encompassing...

felt kinda thick the whole way through

but I liked it yo! keep up the great work! composition and melodies, liked it all
