-despite what Bongo Fiend preaches, an opinion does not need to be un-biased and objective. An opinion is a fukn opinion. . . take it as face value. If you are insulted or offended by someone else's beliefs / interpretations / assumptions / observations . . . ."opinions" then it is your own bad.

As soon as you feel like it is your duty to defend your opinions against anothers' contradicting opinions, then you're in for a "dnb vs. trance" debacle.
 
i thought i'd found a really cool community here where we could talk about music without someone interupting every discussion to inject how music genre 'x' sucks.

that's so highschool!! you know what i'm talking about?

(and if someone says something we think is wrong we have a right to say so too.)

i wasnt interupting a discussion, i was jus saying that
hardhouse is gay...nufin wrong with voicing an opinion..if u take offence to what i say, maybe u should
go change your damn nappys. whos fault is it that u r

Why do you think they invented the acronym "IMHO"?

Saying "hardhouse is gay" is derogatory and childish.
On the other hand, saying "I think hard house is tedious" is just an opinion. :)

Contrary to what PopD says, I DO think people are entitled to opinions. The reason a load of people were annoyed by ukwndpthz's comment is because it was tactless and immature. I couldn't care less whether he likes hard house or not (I can't say it's really my thing either) :)

P.S. "gay" was a pretty poor choice of adjective too.

Personally I'm not offended by it, but I know people who are offended by using "gay" as derogatory expression.

Technically ukwndpathz is correct in that hardhouse is 'gay'. I was mainly founded in gay clubs in the UK in the early '90 (such as Trade). One of the finest hard house DJs of all time was gay (Tony De Vit).
Buy I guess you didn't mean it like that ukwndpthz ;)
