VYBZ CARTEL BOWS TO GAY PRESSURE

Controversialdancehall DJ VYBZ CARTEL has succumbed to the intense pressure himself and other dancehall acts have been experiencing from the international gay community. KARTEL and fellow dancehall artistes have been feeling a serious dent in their pockets as the gays wage an all out war against them for their violent homophobic lyrics, forcing their removal from numerous international events. In an interview with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) earlier this week, VYBZ CARTEL said he apologised for his lyrics. He stated that his homophobic days were behind him and he was now preaching a message of tolerance. "THAT'S WHAT WE ARE DOING, NOT JUST ME VYBZ KARTEL ALONE, BUT ALL THE ARTISTES, WE ARE TAKING THAT STANCE. WE WANT TO MOVE ON NOW"; he said.

He's feeling it in his pocket. It's not genuine. A lot of them will sell their soul to gain the world.
 
I have no doubt youre right. Still, if they keep it up, it will be interesting to watch the effects.

I mean, as it is now, we have Jiffy peanut butter commercials starring Rasta elephants at a sound-clash. If dancehall really starts to lay off the more extreme forms of slackness, there is no telling how huge it can get.

Its pretty much the only genuinely creative and dynamic genre of music on the planet right now, after all.

its about time it seems like thats the only thing dancehall artist talk about was a batti boy, chi chi man, fassi whatever. i rather he dem talk about the dirt on the ground with one leaf than to hear gay lyrics all di time
 
Totally agree with you terelle..

I attribute the whole phenomenon to lazyness on the lyric writers' part.

They could take a look around and find any number of (important) things to be mad and rant about, but that would require putting a great number of braincells to use, wouldn't it?

Naw.. Best play the batty-card. Rephrase what's already been said ten million times and, what a bonus, come across as a REAL MACHO MAN!

Jesus Ch.... Here we go again. Cant waste any more strokes of the key board. Its fu*&$% though for the simple fact that them pu$$Y stop man from getting them money. But then again anybody who doing show around the world have other means to an end.
