I think they`ve boosted too much some of the lower frq.

You mean the snare roll in the back?
Yeah it's horribly out of tune with the rest of the song. Wasn't pitched correctly. The rest of the song is amazing but that single element is awful.
The mixer did an amazing job of giving it room in the mix though.
I assume that's why it sounds "weird": It's out of pitch, pushed behind in the mix because it didn't sound good to the mixer, but also given room in the mix because the mixer was skilled.
