Has the seller un-registered it? I believe that has to be done before you can register it. I think thats how it works, i read it somewhere before if my memory serves me well. Or maybe email native instruments to see if they can help.

If you purchased this from a third-party (non-retailer) NI isn't going to help you unless the original owner has them transfer ownership. More than likely the serial number is still registered to original user's NI account. Have them either contact NI to resolve or get your money back, fast.

Dammit, been playing in demo mode and itsamazing. Haven't read the manual so to speak and jumped in there and it does pretty easy to use.

yeah it is! i freaking love the maschine, bout to work on my first ever dubstep track... maschine makes it possibly to do nearly everything without touching the mouse or even looking at the screen... unless I'm looking at plugins on screen

simple, go to your group... select a pad then hit SHIFT + BROWSE to go to your Modules setup... under "TYPE" use the selector knob (1st one under 1st display) to go to "PLUGIN" then choose the plugin using your 5th knob as can be seen in the second display....

hope that helps

that's how you do it without your mouse or keyboard lol... if you want to use the mouse just click your first modules drop down (the number 1 box next to the sound tab) and go to Plugins

if you hit the fifth button (located above the second screen; should be the name of the VST, for me it's MASSIVE) it'll open up the gui controller for the vst and you can even assign contollers for the vst...

Thanks mate, got a free vst to load however, how can I play it like a keyboard on the pads if that makes sense?.

load the vst into a pad of choice, then shift + pad mode (same as holding pad mode button and clicking keyboard)... this lays out the sound on each pad as different keys (notes), you can go through different octaves my holding pad mode and clicking the 8th button above your second screen... sorry I don't know all the technical terms and don't have maschine loaded up right now ;o
