Uknown Soundclick Stardom!!!

LOL!! well not really!!! I had a track on my soundclick page (which i don't utilize very often) go as high as 375 out of 746,000 songs in the hip-hop general category, and as high as 681 out of all 1.3 million songs in hip-hop overall... what's funny is i posted it up there for a beat battle here on fp, which i lost and people didn't show much love for the track @ all... didn't even get one vote... and nope, it isn't a track w/ some synths and 808's w/ a screw hook...the sh!t jam 2 me actually, and i've already flipped it even more and its goin' 2 be on my 1st all original music cd... i didn't even promote the song... @ ALL!!! just posted it for the beat battle and left it there like a dumbass!! i wonder how many people ripped my sh!t or tried to record the audio and spit to it...anyways... just click on my soundclick page and check the matrix where it says "full"... it has the numbers there to prove it... guess i got some White Hot Pro potential....not bad w/ not one ounce of promotion...i just thought that was strange it climbed that high and i was clueless....

I posted a song in the hip-hop section in sound click and it hit number 10 in 2 days but I guess that was luck, but congrats anyway.
 
thanx... not really beatin' my chest about it...it doesn't put money in my pocket, so it really ain't a big deal to me... just surprised i guess... we're always talkin' about soundclick up here so just sharing... maybe i should actually work my page and try 2 make some loot off my tracks, but i don't sell tracks anymore...i keep all my sh!t 2 rap to myself, but i guess the leftovers could go 2 soundclick...
 
Congrats i guess, but it doesnt seem that special to me. My beats on SC get that high on the charts all the time. I would consider getting into the double digits of the charts w/out promo to be special

i shoulda known when i made this post good ole' fp would humble me significantly!!! thanx for clearing it up by setting what the official stardom bar is set at for soundclick!!! LOL!!!

the thing is ur actively promotin' ur trax obviously by ur sig, soooo i would consider when u actively promote and get into the single digits special.... i wouldn't call double digits w/ promo that special... but congrats.... i guess....


my point is, i think i'ma try workin' this soundclick thing a lil more often, and fp a lil less to see if i can rake in some extra change... i ain't tryin' 2 break the bank and retire off of it... but pocket change wouldn't hurt....


I Can't Believe No One called me on the unknown being misspelled in the thread title!!! i know somebody caught it... fu(k it tho'!! last night was my first night outta re-hab!!! back 2 the shrubbery!!!!! yesssss!!!!

but i've actually been wondering the same thing as this happens to me as well...no promoting, or anything...just my songs get up to the 300's even 10's 40's sometimes, and i have absolutely no grasp as to why...

anyone know? lol

Highest I've been is 112ish in Hip Hop with no promo.

Either way, 300 some out of 700,000+ feels good doesn't it?

Im pretty sure you could post a blank mp3 on FP and it would be under 500 in the Soundclick charts the first few days, it just counts how many plays the song has, congrats though.

Good old sound click, I have a site there somewhere with some old old beats, but keep getting hit up about a track I sampled Oasis "wonderwall" with. Obviously I don't have the clearance but it was pretty dope!
