Turntable recording problem

Hi all,

Been trying to figure out how do I get a clear recording on my turntables. Most of the time when I do, the signal is noisy and I get humming noises. Here's my set up for the recording:

Turntables (Connected to my Vestax PMC-Pro IV),
RCA OUT from the mixer to 1/4 INCH IN my Apogee ONE,
Apogee ONE USB to my Macbook Pro's Traktor,
For the recording software I use, Propellerhead Record, Garageband or Logic Express.

The last I checked, the mixer grounding is intact. I wonder what did I not do to get the clear signal. Could it possibly be the cable I used? If so, any good recommendation for quality recording? Thanks guys.

Its possible the ground wire is loose on the inside of the turntable. Also if you havent already tried, take off your needle cartridge, lick the connector, and blow inside the tone arm, then re-attach the cartridge.
