im kind of in the same situation. Im looking for a rack mount. I have tried out the motif es rack and phantom racks and think there ok. Im actually most impressed with the sounds coming from the Triton Extreme...Only thing is it doesn't have a rackmount. Does the triton extreme have alot of sounds the rackmount does not carry? I have yet to try out the triton rack. The triton extreme sounds were really good though, too bad i don't need a full featured keyboard...just it's sounds

man thats EXACTLY how i feel. i went to guitar center twice and came out both times thinking the extreme had more inspiring sounds.

The Extreme is just a supe up and repackaged Triton Classic. They added all the sound set of the Triton Studio and added many of the sounds from Korg's PCM series. So instead of buying these boards $100 each, they added these to this keyboard standard. The Triton rack doesn't have the Triton Studio presets.

It seems like I might as well just get the whole keyboard since a fully loaded rackmount would cost about the same amount as the extreme 61 key anyway...right?

Oh good... now that you all have finished braggin bout yo equip maybe you can make sum beats or sumthin...

Who cares what you have and how much you got it for... Rza made bangin ass tracks on an 800 dollar machine thats only 400 now. You all should stop wastin money on hardware samplers and buy somethin to compress and master the sounds you already have or learn how to play an instrument or sumthin... cuz none of yall famous so sounds like you just throwin away loot... Or take some of your money you were gonna throw away and go pay an engineer and get studio time so at least youll have one track that you can be proud of instead of braggin about more and more useless equipment... HA

But yeah, get the extreme so its an all in one deal plus the extras of the extremes boards over just the studios.

Everybody else, gimme a break...
Just buy one workstation instead of like 3. If you can play keys alright youll be fine. if not, get some processors for timbre and flavor to your tracks and spend the rest of your money on piano lessons or a video or a book. Youll get more out of learning everything one work station has to offer than by using one of three every so often.

Just MY OPINION. Not hatin on nobody... kinda jealous that all of you have so much cash to blow. but thats it... peace
